Sensory Scavenger Hunt: Engage Your Senses
Join us in exploring Panama Flats bird sanctuary using all your senses!
This event is good for anyone of any age or ability, there are multiple difficulty levels and we're happy to accommodate any needs you may have.
The list of sounds, sights, feelings, and smells will be available in PDF screen-reader friendly format, or in a physical copy by request.
Drinks and light snacks will be provided, and we'll have prizes available for anyone who completes the hunt!
The hunt itself is expected to take anywhere from 20 minutes - 1hr depending on your ability, we suggest planning for 1hr and you can enjoy the park at your leisure!
Go at your own pace, come and go as you please.
Accessibility Details
The main trail is mobility-aid friendly, there are off-shoot trails you can go down but are not necessary to complete the hunt.
The list will be available via PDF on your mobile phone and is screen-reader friendly.
You can request the list ahead of time if you'd like to know more of what to expect, simply check off the request button at registration.
Registration is highly encouraged but not required.

Cooking Class for BIPOC: Pasta Night!
Join the Wild Embrace Farm team and learn to make homemade pasta using locally sourced ingredients. This 3 hour course will cover the basics of how to make hand-cut stuffed pasta with a delicious ricotta filling, and a herby homemade tomato sauce. Each attendee will have a meal at the end of the course so come hungry!
This workshop is open to anyone who identifies as Black, Indigenous, or as a Person of Colour, ages 18-25. You'll be working in pairs so sign up with a friend or come solo and meet other folks in your area.
Wild Embrace Farm Society is a Queer, BIPOC-Led Organization that seeks to connect people from equity-seeking backgrounds with empowering experiences in nature and in community with one another. This workshop will be led by Celine Miller, creator of Nothing Matters Pop-up Dinners.
This workshop will be hosted at the community kitchen in the Victoria Public Market. The kitchen space is wheelchair accessible. Please use the questionnaire at the end of sign up to alert us to any accessibility needs.
