Tray of basil seeds

A seedling giveaway and community event. Meet some neighbours, enjoy some food, and learn about growing vegetables!

Come on out for an afternoon of plants and family friendly fun as we share the seedling love thanks to our friends at Get Growing Victoria!

This is a joint event hosted by Wild Embrace Farm Society and Iyé Herstories Creative.

We’ll have:

• Free seedlings and seeds

• Resources about growing food

• Live music

• Food to share

• Kids activities

Seedlings: spring seedlings for summer/fall harvest include cherry + early girl tomato, cucumber, zucchini, collard greens, rainbow chard, kale, lettuce, basil, chives, nasturtiums, marigolds, bush beans and more!

Accessiblity

The park is accessible via mobility-aids.

There are pubic washrooms in the Fernwood Community Centre.

The live music will be located near the tents and we expect a moderate amount of noise.
